Our church volunteers form the very foundation of First United Church White Rock. We enjoy the benefits of our hardworking volunteer teams every day, whether providing meals for our Community Dinners, helping to coordinate shelter during our Extreme Weather Shelter periods, working on committees to keep our church running smoothly, reaching out to the elderly or ailing in our community–the list is long of the countless ways our volunteers give in very meaningful ways to our congregation and the wider community.

First United serves two important outreach programs for the community on the Peninsula; Community Dinners and Extreme Weather Shelter both of which are supported by partnerships with other organizations. If you or someone you know requires these services, please share this information whose details can be found on our Events page.

Community Dinner volunteers work in the kitchen preparing food and/or serving dinner guests and Extreme Weather volunteers make sure that our shelter runs smoothly during hard weather times for our homeless guests.

Volunteers are sometimes needed for fundraising, special events such as Breakfast in Bethlehem, ushering at services, singing, the children’s ministry, driving, gardening and office help.

We simply could not manage without our volunteers. If you would like to get involved, contact us at our office at 604-531-4850 or email us at [email protected].
