Outreach through the United Church of Canada:
The work of The United Church of Canada:
Across the country and around the world is funded by the Mission and Service (M&S) Fund. Members and supporters of the United Church know that it takes money to put their faith into action. In the M&S Fund they combine their gifts so that the work of the church can be done effectively. Each year the national church sets a goal to fund united work. The Mission and Service Fund objective for 2009 is $32,500,000.
First United Church, White Rock goal is $45,000. Special requests are made throughout the year and members are encouraged to contribute on a regular basis.
Partners in Mission www.unitedchurch.ca/partners
We are called to participate with others in God's mission, and to build mutual relationships. The United Church has partnerships with churches, agencies, and ecumenical organizations around the world.
Social Justice www.unitedchurch.ca/justice
The founders of this church believed that ours is a living faith, a faith that is expressed not only in ministry, but also in mission in and with the world. Refugees, Climate change, Indian Residential schools, and more
